Ennis is probly worth some where between 2.5 to 3 million a year ..... sorry Enzo the 25 games where you got all your points doesnt make up for the entire season! and your contract for the most part is based on total points! |

Ok Garth, we get it. Ennis will re-sign soon with a contract somewhere between $2.5-3 million a year for 2-3 years. This is like your 5th blog about it. |

Add Gagner's deal to Gagner's and you get an average salary of $3 million per season.
How many Gagne's are there?
How about some actual Sabres news, insight, ACTUAL rumors or, hey Garth, try and get a real source within the Sabres or-gan-iz-a-tion for some ACTUAL Sabres "schmazzle".
Stop with the reporting on other team's players. They have their own bloggers.
We're bored, and you're not helping. |

Ennis is a 1.5 to 2.2 million player right now. If we hav e to pay him more I say trade him to get Bobby Ryan. Ennis had a nice stretch of games last year, he also disappeared the first hadlf of the year. If we are gonna pay people based on 20-30 games we are gonna be in cap trouble for years. |

How come we never use Pomminville in any trade proposals . Something like:
Pommer, Sekera, Adam & 1rst for Nash or Ryan |

Probably because he wasn't playing. He had a nasty ankle injury remember? |

While Ennis wasn't even close to being an impact player before the move to center, he was coming off injury. And he only played in 48 games.
His rookie season, he had 20 goals and almost 50 points.
Pro-rate last year's point totals (and I realize he got the bulk of his points later), and he's a 55-60 point player.
History would suggest, like a lot of NHL players, that a breakout in year three is in the cards.
And who is feeding the puck to Bobby Ryan? We certainly don't have a Ryan Getzlaf, a man who has 335 assists in just over 500 games for his career, to do it. I wouldn't bet on Ryan scoring 30+ every year here. |

Ryan is not Luc Robitaille.
Why are we giving up the house for this guy? He's had one of the best centermen in the game dishing to him, and one of the best wingers in the game (Perry) taking heat off of him.
He will not come to Buffalo and suddenly elevate his game even more. If anything, he regresses.
Nash, who has basically done it all by himself, is another story, and I agree with that trade proposal. |

Ryan actually spends a lot of time playing w/ Koivu and Selanne. He also plays a little bit at center from time to time. He doesn't play nearly as much with Getzlaf as you are implying. In fact, they put Ryan w/ Getz and Perry to add a spark when those two are slumping.
Bobby Ryan is better than any winger we have
Edit: I'm glad he's not Robitaille. Sure he scored a million goals but, were any of them clutch? He couldn't handle the pressure of playing w/ Gretzky and had to be put on the 2nd line in LA |

Even so, that's still one hell of a luxury to have. Either Getzlaf's line draws the matchups, or you are playing with Getzlaf on his line. Either way, that puts you in a significant advantage. |

Because he's our most consistant guy who plays all situations and scores on average 60-75 points a year. They also just made him team captain not sure why you'd want to deal him. I'd rather have pommer then Ryan or Nash, he's just as good as either of those guys |
